A-FPS - Aluminum Floodtight Floor Door
Keep floor components safe and protected by installing the A-FPS, an aluminum floor door for areas where water levels may rise and go over the surface opening. The floor door also works if the room contains gas or odor, and you need to prevent them from passing through.
Our customers love the A-FPS because of its aluminum door and frame, type 316 stainless steel hinges, and hardware. Specifically, manufacturers used a 1/4" aluminum diamond plate reinforced on the door. It can handle a live load of 625 pounds/per sq. ft., holding up to 10 ft. of low-pressure water.
You can also find an automatic hold-open arm with a red grip vinyl to open the door at a 90-degree angle, locking it to an open position and ensuring an easy closing action. The door won't swing uncontrollably due to the stainless steel compression springs that provide lift assistance. You can safely open the floor door without the draft or wind opening.
Other features of the product include a standard type 316 stainless steel pressure-lock system latch, an exterior staple for a padlock, and a bituminous coating on the outer frame.
